K. Shepherd & Son is a family-run business, based in the Surrey town of Godalming. With over six decades of experience in arboriculture, our tree surgery services take us all over Southern England, including the Cranleigh, Farnham, Guildford, Haslemere and Woking areas. We supply and deliver quality firewood, which has been responsibly sourced from our work, making local deliveries direct to the door of our customers.
Whether you are interested in a half or full load of seasoned logs, we supply to your requirements. Our firewood can be used on natural fires or on multifuel and wood burning stoves.
Our timber is stored for at least one year. This allows it to dry naturally so it becomes suitably seasoned for use as firewood. We offer a variety of seasoned split hardwood logs, available in sizes ranging from eight to thirty inches.
Premium seasoned logs are delivered by our friendly team to both domestic and commercial customers within a wide radius of Godalming, including our principal service areas of Cranleigh, Farnham, Guildford, Haslemere and Woking. You won’t find firewood in such a wide choice of load sizes, or at such competitive prices, anywhere else in the region.

All seasoned logs from K. Shepherd & Son derive from our work as tree surgeons. Burning unseasoned firewood causes a build-up of creosote, a toxic residue that reduces airflow in the chimney, which can cause a room to fill with smoke or lead to a chimney fire. When we fell a tree, the trunk is split and the wood dried out for at least a year; a vital process to bring the moisture content of the wood down to below 20%.
There are many benefits to using firewood bought from tree surgeons such as ourselves:
With deliveries available across the Cranleigh, Farnham, Godalming, Guildford, Haslemere and Woking areas, we see our firewood as an ethical choice that has numerous benefits for local ecosystems as well as the environment as a whole.
